Workshop: Making a Summertime Mobile

The creative workshop
Making
a Summertime
Mobile
took place on Sunday 19th January 2014 at the Atrium of Te Ahu Centre from 12pm to 4pm.
The Atrium was transformed into a big workshop for creating
Summertime
Mobiles.
At 12pm the workshop started with a short introduction "How to make mobiles"
with several
Summertime
Mobiles made with different materials and varying
techniques. Organic materials, like shells, ferns and leaves were used as
well. Everybody could choose from the array of materials available for
their particular creation.
This fun-workshop was suitable for all ages; a variety of simple to intricate
techniques suits every capability.
The Atrium was open all afternoon and everybody took as little or as much time to
complete one's project. At 4pm all
Summertime
Mobiles
were displayed to be admired by all participants.

These ArtiNZ workshops have been organised in conjunction with Kaitaia Community Arts Service and were supported by the Te Ahu Trust www.teahu.org.nz and Creative NZ's Creative Communities Scheme www.creativenz.govt.nz
